Mission Statement

"Why do the men of St. Saviour's gather together regularly?

Firstly, we gather together to have lots of fun, to laugh and spend time
together.

Secondly, we gather together several times in the year to learn what it
means to be 'men who follow Jesus Christ'. The Bible says "Iron sharpens
iron, so one man sharpens another"(Proverbs 27:17), and in these times we will worship together, receive teaching and have an opportunity to pray for one another. Don't miss out any of these opportunities to be strengthened in faith, sharpened in purpose and filled with the Holy Spirit, that we might truly be men who follow Jesus Christ."

Book review by Kevin Wood
Nicholas Herman was born in 1614 in the Lorraine region of France. His parents were far from “well off” and he received only an elementary education. As a young man he enrolled in the Army to fight in the 30 years war. During the course of the Battle of Rambervillers in 1635, he received a serious leg wound which forced his retirement from the Army. He never really recovered fully from his injury.
